If you are a nomophobic and can't go even an hour without your
phone then China is the perfect country for you to live in. The country has a
pedestrian lane that ensures the safety of pedestrians who walk with their eyes
glued to smartphones.
According to a South China Morning Post report, a shopping
centre in a commercial district in Xian in Shaanxi province, China has built a
lane, especially for the smartphone addicts. The lane is nearly one meter wide
and runs for hundreds of meters, with signs and warnings that it is only for
smartphone addicts. Other parts of the pavement are restricted for people using
smartphones. Safety guards deployed around the lane direct the incoming
vehicles to go round the smartphone addict lane.
