When Sony Santa Monica
was tasked with giving the God of War franchise a soft
reboot, it had a monumental challenge on its hands. In this regards, the studio
was nothing but successful: we proclaimed God of War as one of the best
games of this console generation, and gave it a rare perfect score – an opinion
in line with the majority of critics. Now that the game has garnered universal
high praise, the developers can sit back and relax a little – and what better
way to do that then by releasing a dog-related parody video?

the middle of authentic Sony promotional videos in an official feed, a trailer
video named Dog of War suddenly appeared on the official
PlayStation Europe YouTube channel. Curious gamers who clicked the link (or
those who simply misread it) were met with a faux-commercial parody for a game
called Dog of War, an idea which was born due to an marketing
specialist’s mistaken reading of the game’s title. The video shows the
confusion unravel in Sony’s office, but more importantly, it also shows ample
footage of a cute Kratos dog who, truthfully, probably doesn’t hate Greek mythology
as much as he wants to eat Greek gyros.
